Description
I was up hiking in a local "rails to trails" system not too long ago, when it reached a rural street. Figuring that the local area might be interesting, I poked around a bit and came across this destroyed domicile. So, just in case you weren't previously aware, it definitely pays to go exploring.Related content

Odd. Someone seems to take care of the surroundings, like mowing the lawn.

I do believe that the property it resides on is owned by a larger neighboring house, as there doesn't seem to be any distinction between their lawns. Either the lots were merged at some point, the other house was built to replace this one, or this was a guest house of some sort.

Interesting. It just makes me wonder who would let a house fall to pieces on his ground while taking care of the rest - someone would at least clear the rubble. Maybe it's a different owner.
