Description

To cute not to post! Worm commissioned by  GeekybyNature

Presenting our Sir Didymus puppet. Created in the style of a "ventriloquist dummy" he has a 'flapping jaw' articulated eye and raising and lowering eyebrows. Created in roughly 1 month, he began life as a ball of tinfoil. His forms were built up and refined using rubber paint, resin and Magic Sculpt. He was 'flocked' by chopping up faux fur into essentially 'faux fur dust.' It was then applied with 3M Super 77 spray adhesive. This method proved surprisingly effective. His mechanics were all improvised and made completely possible with InstaMorph™. It is rigid when you need it but flexible when you want it to be. For his voice/electrical system I used Electronics123.com’s 300 second USB recording module. His clothing was all handmade/machine sewn. His core is short chunk of PVC pipe which has all of his controls. His arms and legs are attached with a simple wire armature. His armor was made from sheets of Kydex® V thermoplastics (it's like a worbla alternative) and formed over an apple of all things. His facial hair and tail were made from an Arda Wig. His tail really threw me for a loop for a while as a kept trying to just use the hair from the wig. Once I tried using the actual wig, everything came together.
