My Defiance OC family: Justin Rivens, his hybrid wife, Gwyneth Rivens, their daughter Kady, and their hybrid son Zorak. Also, Justin's mother, Evelyn Rivens (Luthor) , father Peter, and brother Evan as well as Gwyneth's mother, Elizabeth Zennia (Adams), and father Jorak Zennia.

Justin Rivens: A human native of Defiance, he lives with his younger brother, Evan, his mother Evelyn, and his father Peter. His father was an alien bounty hunter until he retired. Before he retired, he taught his oldest son everything he knows. One day while on a bounty hunt, he encounters a female hybrid woman being sexually harassed by both Castithans and Humans. He brings her back to Defiance, where he has her under his protection. They eventually fall in love and have two children. He is good friends with Joshua Nolan and Amanda Rosewater.

Gwyneth Rivens formerly Gwyneth Zennia: An orphan, her human mother died when she was thirteen and her Castithan father, Jorak Zennia committed suicide before she was born. Being a Castithan/Human hybrid, she can speak both of their languages as well as l'Irathi. She was almost raped by three Castithans, when a male bounty hunter stopped them. She travels back to Defiance with Justin. She becomes an adopted sister of Amanda Rosewater. She becomes good friends with Irisa Nyria and Christie Tarr. She eventually falls in love with Justin and they have two children. Unbeknownst to her, Datak Tarr is responsible for her father's suicide.

Kady Rivens: The oldest of the Rivens siblings. She has her mother's eyes and father's hair. She wants to be a bounty hunter like her father. She has her father's personality as well. She is taught how to fight by Irisa and learns Defiance politics through Amanda and Christie. She also learns how to speak both l'Irathi and Kastíthanu through Irisa and Christie. Like her father, she is also human. She loves her brother and protects him from being harassed by the other races.

Zorak Rivens: The youngest of the Rivens siblings. He has his father's eyes and mother's hair. He is more mild-mannered than his older sister. He has his mother's personality as well. He learns how to speak both l'Irathi and Kastíthanu through Irisa and Christie. Like his mother, he is both a Castithan/Human hybrid. His sister sticks up for him when he is being harassed by the other races.

Peter Rivens: Justin and Evan's father and husband to Evelyn. A former bounty hunter until he retired due to his health. He taught everything he knows to his oldest son. He now runs an import/export business with his wife and his youngest son. He is friends with Joshua Nolan and old friends of Datak Tarr. He loves his grandchildren, but is much more close to Zorak. He also loves his daughter-in-law as well and becomes a surrogate father to her.

Evelyn Rivens formerly Evelyn Luthor: Justin and Evan's mother and husband to Peter. She runs an import/export business with her husband and youngest son. She becomes worried about her oldest son's bounty hunting expeditions. She loves her grandchildren, but is much more close to Kady. She also loves her daughter-in-law as well and becomes a surrogate mother to her.

Evan Rivens: Justin's younger brother, youngest son of Evelyn and Peter, brother-in-law to Gwyneth, and uncle to Kady and Zorak. He helps run the import/export business with his parents. He admires his older brother. He is close to his niece and nephew. He also gets along well with his sister-in-law. He is also good friends with Joshua Nolan and Amanda Rosewater.

Elizabeth Zennia formerly Elizabeth Adams: Gwyneth's mother and wife to Jorak. She married Jorak in secret. They eventually had a daughter. She used to be a shopkeeper. She died when Gwen was only thirteen due to a car accident. Gwyneth gives Kady her mother's name as her middle name.

Jorak Zennia: Gwyneth's father and husband to Elizabeth. He married Elizabeth in secret. They eventually had a daughter. Datak Tarr was his best friend, until Datak convinced him that both his wife and daughter died in childbirth. He commits suicide the day that Gwyneth is born. Justin gives Zorak his father and father-in-law's names as his son's middle names.
