Ummmm pair of dentures hahah... human teeth at first sight, fake or not are a little disturbing in a dark bathroom. : ) wish i had a better photo of that, had a terrible digital at the time. Also, glass jar of orange juice in a fridge still/reeeeaaalllyy old medicines in a medicine cabinet in the same house, not creepy but weird still... to you know, think about how someone just left all that there slightly used and never thought about it again. Photos are always kinda sad/interesting/creepy. Do you do any exploring?? If so, same Q back atcha! : )

Yes I do explore too.   I always find it kind of creepy just finding an abandoned home and who ever lived there just left EVERYTHING behind..  It's like they left one day like any normal day, but for what ever reason never came back. It really make you wonder what happened to them?

Not sure how creepy it is but interesting,.. I was exploring an old abandoned farm one time and in the loft of the barn I found all kinds of old medical equipment and supplies. Also found all kinds of patient medical records old medical books, prescription pads etc.  It looked like someone shut down a practice and just stored all the stuff from the doctors office in the old barn.  I was able to research the doctors name and found out he was shut down for medicare fraud and also being a "dr. feelgood" type..basically he was they doctor you went to get a prescription for the hardcore pain meds even when there was nothing wrong with you.  I think I have some pics from that place in my gallery.

One of my favorite finds was an old one room school house that my Dad had actually gone to way back in the 1940s!

Yeah, I agree with that, it's both eerie and fascinating when you find sombody's whole life. I live in very rural/cornfed farm country-midwest Nebraska, so I assume most houses I find like that are left behind by farmers and widows that got to old and either passed away or went to an old folks home/ the land is still rented out and it was easier to just leave the house there. It just always makes you wonder why family wouldn't want to save all their things? : /

And yeah, especially when you find stuff that seems really sentimental/could have been worth something if it wasn't totally rotting away, like I found a funeral keepsake book... thing one time, that one always hit me in a weird place. It was just strewn out on a floor along with everything else in the home, you could tell the place had been ransacked/ gone through many times before I had made my way there.

Oh wow!! Haha, that's cool that you got a story to go along with the place basically : ) That sounds like an awesome find, i'll have to comb through your gallery more and check em out. School houses are so neat, even better you know your dad went there!
