Mega Mermaid is Giga Mermaid's older sister. She was the daughter of the previous queen of the Mermaid Falls. Mega Mermaid is friends with Shantae, Tridenta, Giga Mermaid and mermaids. Her mom fell in a deep sleep underwater. Mega Mermaid plotted to flood Sequin Land but the Guardian Genies defeated her, turned her in a statue and imprisoned her in an underwater prison. She was trapped for 500 years. One day, Aria and some mermaids freed the giant mermaid from her prison. She fought against her little sister but Giga Mermaid and Shantae manages to destroy her. Some time later, Maria revives Mega Mermaid but she learns that her quest for power didn't make her happy in the end and wanted to make amends with her sister. Mega Mermaid and Giga Mermaid reconcile with each other. The giant mermaid turned herself into a fountain as her way to atone for her sins. Mega Mermaid was at first jealous, vindictive and evil but later she becomes friendly, kind and supportive. She still loves Giga Mermaid dearly. She has immortality, super strength, Water Magic, speed, magic blasts and healing factor
