Thank you, Nick. I got carried away looking for all of the little bits in this that have me thinking that "Daft Uncle Tiggy" has gotten himself so involved with that new-fangled steam-powered invention stuff that, on this side of the Atlantic, his circumstances would be considered those of genteel poverty while trying to maintain his personal appearances.
Apropos of that studying the piece I mentioned; the angle of the wall on the right, and the lines of the floor tiles, combine to give me the feeling it doesn't meet the back wall at a 90 degree angle. Intentional or not; it does it's bit to add to the delightfully quirkiness of the scene.

Yes that corner is a bit dodgy isn't it. I did want it to be off true but may have overdone it - and it's incofortable with the bottom of the boiler thing in front too. Too close. Needed better planning there - do not copy. Plan better than that. It was for a deadline in the midst of a load of others and my rushing shows. Tsk. It's something I will go back in and tweak in the future if I have time.
There is quirkiness and there is bad drawing. That corner falls more into the latter group. Good spot. Keep it up my friend.
