Depends on whether one is looking in or looking out. My first thought was the discovery of light and sky after years beyond count thinking the world was all steel walls and cables.

Thats a very interesting way of looking at it, when i made it i had the intention of showing a wreck or bizzare structural formations being discovered by light. After reading your description i really think it can work the other way round, great!

I think it struck me this way because of the perspective; the observer is looking out toward the light from deep inside.
