Hey everyone-Just a quick comment as I need to get some work done. This is an example that I created for my Manga Mania day camp about storytelling. Yeah it's not the best but I think that it makes its point.

Looks badass as hell! Seeing Godzilla drawn in this style just makes me wanna see a Godzilla anime at some point in the future even more.

Doesn't it though? I'm not really a fan of anime but I would TOTALLY watch a Godzilla one, filled with monsters and fights on the epic side.

I completely agree. A Godzilla anime would kick insane amounts of ass, Toho should seriously consider giving it a shot at some point.

I hope they do. I understand them being so protective of their IP, but loosen up and have a top-notch studio handle the production work. Toho's REALLY missing the boat on that.

Knowing them, they'll probably wait until the demand for Giant Monsters goes back up in Japan. Right now they aren't so big, probably because Japan has been in daikaiju overload for so many years.

I agree, especially with Goji. In a way I'm glad that they rested him for 10 years...let the interest grow and then unleash a new movie.

The long wait will also give Toho a chance to get new people in there with new ideas for the franchise, and new material is always good.

I think you pulled it off nicely, especially with the panels.

Not particularly crazy about the panel layout. Similair to All Hail Megatron issue 6 when it has a page of Megatron being shot to the Pit by Starscream and incircled by panels showing how it happened. Over all it was confusing or unneccassary. This could have been pulled off better with the smaller panels enlarged to fill the page and Godzilla awakening as a single or splash. Still, it looks cool, just could have been better.

Yeah, I threw this together for my Manga Mania summer camp that I instruct. I'm still a bit impressed with it overall- proves that I can draw a sweet Godzilla sequential page.

monster drawings are always something special. i tried a few times to draw dragons but it is really hard.

Monsters and their ilk are incredibly fun to draw and work on. Just rough out some basic shapes and let your imagination do the rest.
