Hey hey everyone-Well, I've reached an impasse with this JD drawing. I dunno how much further to take it- maybe add another halo around the Moon, some silhouettes, clouds? And the other question is: to Photoshop or not Photoshop? To this point it's all been traditional, but I'm not opposed to digitally enhancing the pic if need be.
Any help is cool.

Thanks! I had a bit of help from my friend Mike . He did the sculpts for that episode and I saw them in person, so that helped out immensely! With his blessing I did this illo.

When in doubt - lens flare the hell out of it. Or not.
Well, Traditionally speaking, I think it's fine just the way it is - if add any more, you're going to be reaching a point where you might lose some of the finer details. If anything, dink around with it in Photoshop - try some texture brushes, playing with shadows and light (for example, the JD's face is illuminated, so there much be a light before him... is it just white light or a more ominous sheen. Likewise, is the JD's flesh more earthen and therein not so reflective, or is he more amphibious, giving you an opportunity to give it a ever-so slight sheen from the moonlight?) All of that though - PS it first before you go crazy on the original canvas. Awesome work as it stands though. It's been a blast to watch the progress!

Hehehe- I dunno if the lens flare would work.
I was tinkering with those aspects you mentioned in PS- better be safe than sorry. I do like it as is, but I feel like some wispy clouds (not too much) can add that extra zing to it.

Hm. Well you know me and Photoshop, but here, I'd say stay traditional. It's looking totally ace without the aid of man's newer conceptions!

My thinking pretty much- I just don't want to f*ck it up too much, so I've messed with some of it in PS just to get a feel.

Yeah, CS4 is pretty intense, but I'm getting a bit better at it.
