Description Morning doodle for myself.

Back in the day, long before I was drawing Spidey and Bob Ross ownin' his viewers, I was pretty much the kid who in school drew skulls. Lots of them. All the time. And not just like plain ol' skulls, but these hyper-realistic styled withered skulls that sometimes had eyes or hair or a hand. Yeah, I was like Pushead Junior. I was even asked once by my French teacher if I was distrubed or was in need of help. Nope, just liked drawing skulls. Then I got out of it and started to draw superheroes .

So this is more or less a pirate skull. Hey, with the POTC2 comin' out and this is sort of like fan art but not really, I need all the pageviews I can get.

This is really good. The only things I would change would be to make the eye ball a little larger and the jaw structure looks a little outta wack-don't get me wrong though I'm just trying to help!

Thanks! No, I'm not a computer graphics person. I use Pigma Microns to get those nice thin lines. I believe on this one I used an 08 and 02 marker, and a Graphic 1 to get those lineweights. I'm old-school like that. or just too po' to afford PS .

nice.. the texutres are very well done... i can feel the bone in there the bandana feels real because of the folds ... try blacking out the patch to make it pop out
how did you do the hair? did you do it in one long stroke? it looks nice great job

I did the hair in long strokes. I started at the skull and just let my hand fly in all sorts of directions. And eventually, I got meself somw hair .

I try Matt. A lot of times it's just like, "Well, what do I need here? How about some spots for shading (I forget the name for it) here or some hatchmarks there?" And it's all about making the skull look...well, like it's seen better days. If that's possible.

It's all about the looseness bro. Try it one day, you might like it .
