Definitely one of my more dramatic pieces. Set years before StarFox 64, this takes place shortly after Peppy and the previous StarFox team, lead by James McCloud, attacked Andross's forces on Venom. The war should have ended there, but at the last minute, just as victory was almost theirs, Pigma betrayed the team and Peppy was forced to flee the wretched planet with a severely damaged Arwing, leaving James behind to fend for himself, later presumed dead.

Poor broken-hearted Peppy. In a way, he lost both of his friends on that horrible day.

Of course, those of us who have beaten the game's alternate ending know better

Years later, James' son, "Fox" McCloud would lead a new campaign against Adross' army. Peppy went with the current team to redeem himself, but Pigma was beyond salvation.

I hope you guys feel the love I put into this piece!
