Samus musters all the strength she has, imbued with the powers of the hyper beam, while remembering Django.Just so you remember, guys.. SHE didn't give Django that bruising. He just got into a fight soemwhere that one time and came back, humiliated.
Anyway, as for the second to last panel, where you see them embracing... I've tried to leave the exact specifics of their relationship in the air, and not outright state whether or not they've.... done anything.... like that.... and though that panels implies that they have, I still tried to leave it pretty vague, so that all you see is them embracing in the dark.
Anyway, I may have goofed up a coupla' panels here. I think maybe I should've shown Django's battered face LAST, but oh well, whatever.
These recent pages have been a great chance for reflection on all that's come their way...

Maybe they've had sex, maybe they haven't. They've slept in the ship's single bed, that much we know, and Django has seen Samus wake from her night-terrors, sweat-soaked, shaking. There's as much chance that that embrace was nonsexual comfort.

I think it speaks to the strength of the story that will-they-won't-they/did-they-didn't-they isn't a central question, or even really addressed. Like you said before, a love story, but not a romance.
