Yes, Samus is going to do a fair bit of talking to herself in this story, and a fair bit of that is going to be unbridled, surly bitching. Hopefully, I can still make it more fun to read and relatable than Other M's writing! At the very least, I wanted to show a moment of Samus thinking on her feet and guessing what could be the cause of all this, though you can see this latest ordeal already has her feeling kind of down. She's just so tired of fighting the same three or four monsters over and over again, you know?So yeah, cue random flashback to Kraid. You can probably guess who's going to appear on the next page.

Its actually stupidly easy to clone a metroid it isn't even funny, just expose them to Beta radiation and the larvas go through mitosis like an amoeba in a agar plate

Cool, I love the base Power Suit design, especially in Zero Mission.
Samus doesn't strike me as someone who would outright abandon the Federation, that seems like giving up in a sense. Everyone needs a break once in a while and no one can go on forever, but the GF is the galactic government body, leaving to rot will just makes things worse for a lot of people. From what I can tell, Samus' goal is to achieve some sort of peace in space (so says Metroid 1/Samus & Joey). I guarantee Samus is not under the delusion that everyone can get along perfectly, hold hands and sing campfire songs, but at least get the galaxy to the point where people aren't killing each other in droves via war and monsters like the X or Phazon aren't a concern, you know?

It's not that she wouldn't be involved, she'd just be acting against the Federation to a degree, tracking down any secret Metroid breeding or cloning facilities and the like they might have and taking them out. She'd be returned to the status she had post-Fusion, before they came to an agreement in Metroid Revival.

I figured as much. Last time they sent Django as a liaison of sorts, but he hasn't shown up in the story yet, so who knows how he'll be involved.
