"Kimura, right?"

Naash hung just outside the small office space provided for the workers, one arm casually hanging on the wall while the other sat in his pocket.

Nao turned to acknowledge him. "That's my name. Need something?" Her voice wasn't quite monotone, but it seemed to be lacking a certain spark of emotion that's normally present in people's voices.

He held out a small stack of papers; worthless, but Nao didn't need to know they were just a distraction. "Need you to look these over, and if you decide they're right, I want you to copy 'em over at the printer over there." he said, pointing in it's general direction. "It's an announcement for workers."

"If I have to." she replied, stepping out of the office space to look over, and copy the documents. Just as he had hoped.

With the small amount of time he had, Naash stepped into Nao's work space, quickly placing a crudely wrapped scarf on her seat, turning it so she wouldn't see it right away when she got back.

With a silent sigh, he stepped back out of the work space. "They don't pay me enough for this kinda shit." he said under his breath, as he started back towards his desk.

"Don't pay you enough for what?"

He froze in place. Well, he THOUGHT it was clever enough, anyway. Wouldn't you know it, Nao had come back already. She probably realized the papers weren't really an announcement. Or maybe she had just forgotten something at her work space.

With a heavy sigh, he realized there really wasn't another choice in the matter. Turning to look at her, he said, "Look, Kimura-"

"What were you doing in my work space?" she interrupted. Her stare was cold and emotionless, as it always was.

Naash rubbed the bridge of his nose. "I was tryin' to-"

She interrupted again. "Do I know you?" she said, a slight hint of annoyance in her voice. "Do you have any right to be going through my things?"

Trying his best to keep himself calm, Naash continued attempting to explain the situation. "If you'd let me explain myself-"

"Explain that you're a theif? That you don't know any better?" she continued in her almost-emotionless voice. "You're lucky I haven't already called the cops on you, you know."

Theif. It was strange how a single word could sting so badly. "... You'd get I wasn't goin' through anythin'!" he said, angrily continuing what he had been saying before. "Matter of fact, I was givin' you a fuckin' christmas gift since you ain't a pain in the ass like everyone else around here! Is that so fuckin' bad of me?!"

With that, he stormed off, grumbling to himself the whole way back to his office. Nao stood in shock for a moment before stepping into her work space, finding the scarf and a small note attached to the wrapping paper.

"Kimura,

Don't go gettin' the wrong idea from this, but thanks for not bein' a pain in the ass. Pathetic I have to say that, but seein' as how everybody else thinks it's so damn normal, it's only right you get rewarded for realizin' how retarded it is.

Have a good holiday, whatever it is you celebrate.

I was originally going to make the comic one part, and draw Nao receiving the gift but-

I couldn't get the drawing to look right cry;;;

S-So I hope the writing is ok! The comic is more of a visual of what's going on in the writing without the ending part...
