Taken on safari in KenyaI took many many photos of hippos while on safari but almost all were while they were in the water. it was hard to find any on land because they live in the water during the day. I was very excited when we found this one on the shore. I have a series of photos from it lying down, then getting up and staring, then eventually rushing into the water directly at us in our little boat. it was amazing to see how fast such a large animal could move. I will upload a few more from the series of shots.
