I finally had time to finish my entry in 's contest to design Sailor Rahab's second incarnation! I love history and the character, so I had to make and entry!

Name: Lisbet Blauw (blauw is a Dutch heraldic word for blue)
Time/Region: 1530's Netherlands
Catastrophe: The St. Felix's Flood (in Dutch, Sint-Felixvloed) happened on Saturday 5 November 1530, the name day of St. Felix . This day was later known as Evil Saturday (kwade Zaterdag). Large parts of Flanders and Zeeland were washed away, including the Verdronken Land van Reimerswaal . -wikipedia. Various sources state in toatal, Eighteen villages were washed away, and whole of ‘East Yerseke’ was swept away except for the city of Reimerswaal. It was blamed on teh will of God. This city was left as an Island and today, it has completely turned into a salt marsh area. An estimated 100,000 - 120,000 people were killed, the property loss was approximated to be more than 100 million U.S $.
