Backstory: Having become the current Kahn of Outworld, Kitana couldn't risk causing a war letting the leaders of the outworld's races to learn about the existence of this child. Reluctantly, she sent her him away, to be raised without a mother just like she were, but knowing that it was the best and safest decision. So she entrusted the upbringing to the father Liu Kang, who raised the child in the same way he was raised, amongst the monks in the Wu Shi academy in Earthrealm.

Learning the teachings and abilities from the monks, he grew up knowing little about his mother and her story. But now, his father thinks that the time has come, so they will finally travel to Outworld to learn the truth about his past.
