Description This week I had a wonderful encounter with this little ringed plover (Charadrius dubius) at Torslandaviken near Gothenburg, Sweden. Isn't he adorable?

What a perfect moment to capture this one. I love it. The pose of the bird, the focus point, the blurry background and the intense colours of the water. Wonderful piece of photography.

Haha, well, they´re not too dissimilar and they fill a similar ecological niche, essentially the killdeer is the American counterpart to the little ringed plover in Europe
