This picture is definitely a lot better than the last one I saw. I like the way everything is just so simple, like a little village on the hillside (that is probably what it is, but whatever). I think I can see your technique improving; the lines look clearer and more defined. It would be nice if you had little people walking in the streets between the houses. The paper adds a nice touch to it, with the natural grayness and the slight wrinkles in it. I do not see any problem in this particular drawing, and maybe -when you become more comfortable with it- you could actually start drawing people, like at a park or something akin to that.

Vision: When I look at this, I really do get a peaceful feeling of a small country town in the plains of France.

Originality: Though crafted very well, I have seen many works with ink on paper. However, you didn't simply put this on a normal sketchbook, clean-cut sheet. The slight tint of the page and the wrinkles that pervade throughout add to the old-time luster of the work and enhance the feel that I really am getting a view of the historical, natural view of this small town.

Technique: There is no reason to dwell on your technique because really it's WONDERFUL! In terms of proportion and shading and style, it is a beautiful piece. Even the way the piece starts with the tower in the top left corner and brings your eye down to the bottom right is wonderfully down. There is no where that feels incomplete.

Impact: I feel the impact follows the same level as the vision. I get the feelings of the peaceful small town. My only wish is that the description below the piece had told the reason WHY you chose this subject. But otherwise, I really do just want to go sit and draw this subject myself to hopefully get a similar result as you've gotten.

VERY WELL DONE

Where do you get the inspirations for your landscapes? Anywhere?

I love how you've used the inherent character of the aged paper to your advantage, incorporating its unique "flaws" into your piece, and adding the character of your medium to the art itself. Beautiful!
