This is absolutely fantastic! I love the fingerprint style of this piece. It appears to be that you drew lines, and used different amounts of pressure to make the color darker or lighter; which I would guess is not an easy feat! The shading is utterly gorgeous, the lines are beautiful, the detail is so vivid! Though the only colors are black, grey and white, I feel like the picture jumps off the screen with a POP.

The overall image of this piece of art is simply amazing, beautiful, wonderful, brilliant and gorgeous. Definitely continue making outstanding art while you can.

first of all this is an amazing piece! there is a very great mount of detail that has been put into this piece. using what seems to be pen strokes in varying distances and shades from each other have made this picture even more wonderful. you have such great detail in this piece with a lot of precision. the saying "you get what you put in" is definitely this. the lines are so precise and defined that if looked upon from a distance it gives the look of a black and white photograph of woody allen. keep up the great work!!

The picture for me is very unique. The texture looks like a finger print (thats probably hard to do). You follow the lighting very carefully, but the glasses looks kinda like if he took of the lenses off, but its not noticeable. One thing that does strikes me is the left chin, observing it makes me feel like his chin is slowly curving or turning (or that might be intentional). But none the less, the drawing is great and you should be proud. I might study the image for other projects of mine. Fixing the chin and/or adding color might boost the vision.

A very, VERY impressive piece! Your use of nib and ink is obviously something you've been working on for years. The way you use single lines throughout the work gives it a feeling of almost looking at a memory.

Your control of line thickness is a great benefit to your style. There are very few things that I can see that constitute actual mistakes. Most of these can be set aside as a side effect of the method of creation. I do notice that the bridge of his nose seems ( and I say this with no reference to compare to) slightly askew. Other than that, I can't find anything I can't get completely swept away by. As a whole, I have nothing to say besides masterful work, my friend in art! Keep up the good work!

Although I am not much of a Woody Allen fan, I do admire what you've done. I like his expression and how he seems solemn and innocent. Again, you've managed to get the precise placement of your line detail. I think that helps tremendously in the overall aspect of this piece. I do notice the top, where his hair line blends in with the background, seems sparser than it should be, like it wasn't fully completed, as opposed to just a matter of lighting. It could just a matter of perspective on my part. I hope to see some more of your portraits, as I think you've managed to capture something within the "lines". e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="387" title=" (Wink)"/>

I'm enjoying the whole swirl lines effect that you used to color the picture here. And it's very effective in shading both Woody Allen's features and creating an effective backdrop, hence 5 stars for Vision. Although this isn't the first time I've seen such a picture, so 4 stars for Originality. As for technique, I have to say: you must have strained your hand drawing all these patters (or did you use a French curve?) So, 5 for Technique. As for Impact, well, overall, I love this piece of yours. Giving such depth and details to a single face. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Very intriguing technique, seems to say volumes about him - captures the neurotic and frazzled nature of his character/personality (?) especially as scandals never seem to leave him alone but fritter away at the edges of his image [sic].
