During her journey, Nicole saved a Ralts from some criminals. The Ralts was first afraid of Nicole, thinking she would hurt her, and Teleported away. Later Nicole found the Ralts hurt in the forest, and healed her. The next morning, Nicole saw the same Ralts outside her camping spot. Ralts wanted to join Nicole on her journey, and Nicole catched it and nicknamed it Athena.
