There's a season of the year where the Atacama desert looks like that photo, the event is called "Flowering desert" and you'll see lots of flowers and cactuses!

I agree.Β It reminds me of something I wrote a few years ago about a girl from a dying aristocracy sitting by a stream and contemplating her upcoming wedding.Β She was down stream from her crumbling manor home as it turns out.Β This picture is very much like I imagined that scene.Β
