Now here's a kaiju that's long overdue for a drawing, that being the one and only Golza from Ultraman Tiga.

Believe it or not, Golza has some rather interesting lore behind it, in the Ultraman Tiga continuity, it was a race of kaiju who frequently attacked an Ultra Ancient Civilization that was lost to time over 30 Million Years prior to the events of Ultraman Tiga, flash forward to the present, it reawakened to cause destruction once again on the Earth, along side another kaiju named Melba, however Ultraman Tiga also reawaken thanks to merging with Daigo Madoka, in order to do battle with the ancient kaiju. While Tiga was able to defeat Melba, Golza managed to escape, though in the end, Ultraman Tiga would do battle with it once again, in the form of Fire Golza, and would actually prevail against it.

Another interesting thing to note about Golza, according to the Ultraman Wiki, Golza was intended to be a modern homage the classic kaiju Gomess from Ultra Q, like wise, Melba was also an homage to Litra from Ultra Q, both of which were the first kaiju to appear in their respective shows, this was rather fitting since during the time of Ultraman Tiga's release, the Ultra series was about to celebrate its 30th anniversary. Ever since its first appearance, Golza (alongside Fire Golza) would become a popular Ultra kaiju in its own right, appearing in multiple Ultra shows throughout the years, sometimes gaining new variants, such as Golza 2 in Ultraman Dyna or Gorg Fire Golza in Ultraman X.

As for fighting against Redman, Golza would be an interesting opponent for sure, since in its Fire Golza form, it can absorb heat based attacks, including Redman's Red Fire attack. Anyways hope you enjoyed and take care!
