This is a collection of six black-and-white textures I made through a process called databending, plus some creative editing in GIMP. On their own, they don't seem like they'd be very useful, but I've found myself going back to them. In addition to working wonderfully as general texture, they actually look fantastic when colorized and used as backgrounds:

The pack contains all six files (sized 1000x1000 pixels), plus the preview image here, plus a textless version of it for testing.
