Original angels from Bible weren't just beautiful people with wings...
Mostly they appeared as people with superhuman power
as humble but powerful messengers from tremendous and majestic God...
But their higher kinds
were definitely too eldritch and surreal
for being just messengers...
Cherubim with four faces of four different creatures and four wings full of eyes...
Ophanim with two wheels full of eyes...
Seraphim with six fiery wings full of eyes. ..
If they were just servants
how tremendous and majestic
could be their Lord?
