Word had spread quickly throughout the hive that scouts had returned to the queen with news of invaders to the planet. Drones and warriors scampered around itching to protect the hive at any cost, the newcomers were harvestable, and the hive needed to expand. Too many drones were being killed by the newcomers and not enough were surviving. By the Queens orders they were to wait until they walked into the hive, and then catch them unawares. In the meantime she laid her eggs ordering a couple of drones to watch over them and take them to neighbouring caverns so they wouldn't overcrowd her chamber. There were a large number of invaders this time, according to the scouts and she called for the carrier to sit with the eggs until it was time for them to hatch. If she was needed, she would take them to battle.After working on this for about 8 hours tonight I am happy to say this is finished

So, in the event of an invasion of the hive, this "carrier" would take the facehuggers to the front lines? Pretty cool, would hate to see that charging at me!

Pretty much yes, it would both fling Facehuggers at attacker's faces and impale the victims using its scythe-like hands. xD
