Description This piece just grew all on its own... Which maybe wasn't such a good thing since it lacked balance on that right corner.. At least I could sorta fix that with my funky bg.

I've been going back to dancing a lot recently, which really inspires me to draw people. Unfortunately I'm not so flexible as the other girl's in the class... But that doesn't stop me from drawing them

I think I'll do more in this balancing act series... It's very good for practicing proportion, since as soon as one person is out - everyone is out. You can probably see all the errors in this piece... x_____x

I like this alot, and the off balance actually draws your attention to the artwork, <_< (i learned that in photography.. so I always have to keep it in my mind or i center things)

thankies It's really fascinating hearing what people see in my art. I suppose they really do flow into one another.. and I probably sub-consciously intended that - however I didn't see it until you pointed it out.. :S

hehe.. purple is a fun colour. I've been doing lots of red stuff lately, so I needed a new colour. You'll probably see all my new pics have some element of purple in them. I just go through colour phases -- whatever's on the palette in photoshop
