Description I may or may not be doing this right, but it's fun anyways. And in fact, it did create some compositions I normally would not do.

What actually is the process you're doing here with the BW squares, the color versions of the same, and then the roughs?

It was an improvised exercise, with the general idea that a painting's large, abstract design could help reflect the theme. So I tried to make shapes that feels happy to me with the black, white and grays, then added what I consider "happy colors" to the thumbnails. Lastly, I picked one I liked the most and tried to put different subject-matters on it. It's a different approach than I normally take (think of subject-matters first) and I'm not sure how well it works, but it might be a way to break an art block.
