Description Conflicting Realities - A Story of Lu.

Lu didn't know how anger felt, but she, if her visage could be reffered to as a she, did realise that this moment would be suitable to feel such an emotion as 'Anger'. She had seen the new model's rolling in by the truckload and her circuits had crossed to put two and two together when it was noted this wouldn't be good for herself.

She walked down the streets, going back to the studio to another afternoon of filming. She wasn't even sure why they'd given her breaks, what did they expect her to do? Eat some lunch with a cup of coffee? I guess she could recharge, but even the director knew that didn't need done for quite some time. She frowned. It seemed appropriate. She stared up at the sky as her ears picked up the sounds of amusement and amazement. In response, she moved towards the sounds.

Before her were s group of people standing around a small stall. The generic crowd contrasted the small little man who seemed to be keeping their attention. He beamed up with a toothy, rotted smile. He seemed to be shuffling a deck of cards and then flicking through them, without looking, and pulling out four aces. The crowd roared out with cries of "amazing" and "fantastic" and suchlike.
Despite this, Lu was not impressed and voiced so;

"It's not very impressive when you've marked the cards." Her voice came out bluntly and in response, the little man stared up at her. He seemed to be quite pleased that she had caught him out.
"Why, madame, you rob magicians of their tricks I see?" He was heavily accented, and as the crowd came to realise what had happened, a few of them had gone off in other directions. A couple had stuck around though, a show was a show.
"I merely seek to point out the truth in life's trickery," Lu responded in a tone quite opposite to the self-proclaimed magician's heated charm.
"Well, how about this then," The small man gave a wide grin as he proffered his sleeve, "Nothing up my sleeve, yes?"
"It would appear so," Lu answered. And in a flurry, arms moved and up was produced three roses, one red, one white, one black. The remenants of the crowd appluaded. But the applause was disturbed by the voice of Lu;
"I hasten to note that we did not see up your other sleeve, 'magician.'"
The small man's smile faded and he grumbled but he stared back up at Lu and winked.
"Alright, alright, we have a sharp one, but explain this one." The short man jumped up onto the little table so he was at eye level with Lu,, he then quickly reached behind her head and pulled out a card. A tarot card. It was death. Lu actually allowed herself to blink. She wished, or rather, decided it was a bad idea, to have done so. Because as she stared out again, the stall, the man, and the crowd had gone.

She looked around quickly, but there was nothing. She shrugged, as humans would do in this situation, and blamed it on a short power failure. She turned back to walk back to the studio. And on her way there, without noticing, she stepped on a card, crushing it to the dirt, but the picture could still depict a girl, with bandages over her eyes, a large dog-like warrior, a woman with a pole and a hooded robe. And Lu in the middle. the faces around her. And three letters could be made out. D E A.

Woho, short but so sweet. Thanks a lot for taking your time, this was a really good read, not only because it was about Lu. Almost makes me feel kinda bad for just giving you a little sketch.
