Description
"Getting dressed to kill" A Traje de Luces (Suit of Lights) is traditional bullfighter’s clothing worn in the bullring. The gold or silver trims and sequins reflect strongly in the sunlight, hence the name.
They are custom made to the person wearing it. Like a tattoo, the different patterns and designs embroidered into it could be something meaningful to them, or mean nothing at all.
Manolo’s was made to match the guitar Maria gave him.
I did my best to transfer what his outfit would look like from a wooden piece to real clothes.

i don't know much of mexican culture, but how are they going to fight a bull if they wear such complicated outfits?!!

It's meant to be very form fitting and close to the body because anything loose could get caught by the bull's horns. and ultimately lead to a fatal accident...
The decoration and colours and embroidery is there simply because bullfighting is first and foremost.. a show. The fighters are SUPPOSED to show off, to be macho, to stare death in the face, and they must stand out. Be dazzling.
You're putting your life on the line fighting this bull, you may as well wear something nice, right?

I have a request- Hotel Transylvania 2 Halloween Invasion Character Concept
The Characters:
- Dracula, the owner of Hotel Transylvania, and Mavis's over-protective father.
- Boogyman,Samhain's Friend,also mask wearing villan
- Merlin,Court Headmaster,wizard,Immortal,and has a cat
- Jonathan ("Johnnystein"), a now 24 year-old human who had stumbled upon Hotel Transylvania and became Mavis's soul mate.
- Mavis, Dracula's now 121 year-old daughter who fell in love with Johnny and is now back to save Transylvania
- Harrison Leahy,Noah's Friend and also brave
- Frank / Frankenstein, Eunice's husband, and Dracula's old friend who acts as an uncle to Mavis.
- Eunice, Frankenstein's wife.
- Wayne, a werewolf who is Dracula's other friend and the husband of Wanda.
- Samhain, a mask wearing villan of darkness,murderous,uses sorcery t bring the dead to life
- Noah Boyd ,a Brother of Johnnystien,with a beard, and a gun,a brave man
- Wanda, a werewolf who is Wayne's wife.
- , The Invisible Man; Dracula's other friend.
- Murray the Mummy, Dracula's friend.
- Roberto Landridge, a Harvard Unvisersity Professor and paranormal investigator.
- Quasimodo, a gourmet chef and the former The Hunchback of Notre-Dame who desires to make dishes where humans are the main ingredient.
Plot:
Three years after a disastrous birthday for Mavis, on October 29th 2015, Dracula still runs the hotel, but has found peace knowing that Mavis is safe with Jonathan. Quasimodo has broken from Drac's freezing spell, betrays the hotel, and travels to Ireland (where he's spotted by Jonathan and Mavis). He frees Samhain from his prison four days before halloween and Quasi becomes loyal servant, and Quasi informs him about 2012's events at the hotel. Convinced that Drac is nothing but a disgrace, Samhain enlists his old friend, The Boogeyman, to plot an invasion on Transylvania and destroy the hotel. Aware the of the situation, Mavis and Jonathan are aided by Merlin The Wizard and his cat to return to the hotel and warn Dracula
use the old cast and tom hanks as Roberto Landridge and choose new voices for the new characters

Eeee Manolo, yay! He's so cute in your style. I'm impressed with the detail and I think you did well trying to make him look more like a person instead of a wood figure. I want to draw him myself but I'm intimidated by both the strange styling to transfer and those details, whoa.

Manolo is so amazing and handsome. i just love his quiff. so suave ;D and he's so romantic, sensitive, kind, and sweet! (spoiler) it's no wonder maria chose him. i mean i like Joaquin, he's definitely got a sweet side. but he's too self absorbed for my taste. manolo however. he died and came back just to be with maria. now that's real love if i ever saw it.
excellent work as always. i hope to do the other 2 as well. i like that you did this is life instead of wooden doll.
