Well, I'm not surprised that no has asked me for this one. Probably because the series was pretty complicated and convoluted to even be well known. From what I know about it, Jiyu Nanohana was unwittingly chosen to be the successor of master swordsman Jubei Yagyu, and a heart-shaped eye-patch granted her incredible sword skills. Despite the title 'The Ninja Girl', Jiyu was more of a samurai instead. In the second season, called 'Counter Attack Of Siberian Yagyu', Jubei had a daughter from a Russian woman, and she was frozen in time to the modern age. Long story short, Fresia used her spade-shaped eye-patch to fight against Jiyu for the right to be Jubei's true successor. Yup, pretty complicated and convoluted for a heroine themed animation.
