I've gotten all of the shots back from the photoshoot I had at MegaCon with KenAD, and I will be slowly uploading them on here. My next convention isn't til July, so I need something to post in the meantime!

Anyhoo, this is my cosplay of Kraehe from Princess Tutu, from the Odile art to be exact. I created this costume to be an anatomically correct performance-grade classical tutu, and went with the Russian-style of tacking and hooping to get a very flat, platter-style look to the ruffle portion. Alot of love and dedication went into this piece, and I marathoned the anime while doing the pleating, too! Helped the job go by a bit faster.

I really love Rue and her part in the series and am happy to have this costume done finally. It was a dream of mine for years! I'm researching Aurora tutus and watching several versions of the Sleeping Beauty ballet in preparation for her Aurora tutu from the ending credits of Princess Tutu. It will be approached to differently than the Odile tutu - since it's the wedding version from the third act of the ballet, I want it to be very soft and feminine, and not as 'strict' looking as I made this tutu. It will be tacked looser, have more rows, completely double-hand pleated, no hooping, have a long-line bodice as opposed to a bodice and separate upper basque, and look a lot more delicate and feminine. The biggest challenge I think will be to incorporate all the lace and froofiness in a very flattering way.
