Subject: Cyclops
Date: January 5th, 1997

Our efforts to create a bio weapon have begun. From earlier discussions, we've decided to use a human subject to create what we have dubbed "The Cyclops." I'm not going to pretend that this will be easy but I am confident in our success. Operation Olympus will be just the beginning for us.

Date: November 1st, 1998

Results have been less than optimal. Every subject we've used can't survive the process. I'm not sure if it's because the subjects are weak, the formulas are too volatile, or something else that we're missing. The higher ups patience seems limitless, for now at least. Despite that, we are trying to move as fast as we can. We don't want to test that patience anymore than we are now. The longest any of our subjects have survived so far is one week of injections. I'll go back to the R & D team to see if we can't continue with the formulas we used for that one. I think that is our best bet for now.

Date: May 25th, 1999

It's been a nice turn around in results since my last entry on the Cyclops. Our latest subject has survived a whole month so far. Higher ups are pleased with the progress. The mutations, I'll admit, have gotten a little out of hand. He's grown quite a bit and has started to developed hard welts all over his body. I've deduced that the main problem in past subjects has been their genetic code. Our formulas were apart of the problem but the genetics of a human differ greatly between subjects. It was only a matter of finding the right subject. I fear how long it might take to find another subject should this one die late in the process.

Date: October 14th, 1999

We did it! He lived! The Cyclops is complete. I am happy despite his appearance. His codename is a poor choice now that tests are done. He grew multiple eyes that burst the front of his skull. At least they form the shape of an eye. The welts continued to grow and harden and have become somewhat of a natural armor. We're not sure exactly how is digits mutated in such a weird way. He still can walk/run and hold things so there's no reason to be upset there. A little scare we had in the months since the last entry was when his stomach burst open after the last injection. We stitched it up and began physical tests soon after to make sure they held. Now that I write it out it's actually a bigger scare. The stitches are luckily holding. The last weird mutation was when his jaw fell off. Nothing else really to that. It just fell to the floor and now he swallows his food whole. It's a glorious day for Olympus. The first of many.
