Sometimes I wonder if creativity builds up when you're not doing artistic stuff, and explodes when you get going again.

It took quite a long time doing this, mostly because I couldn't get the right sketch of Macheviel's form. I picked one out, inked it, scanned, and worked on his colouring.

Afterwards, I worked on the background, which is something I'm obscenely proud of. It's a product of a combination of lighting filters, layers and masks. The complex design behind him is at least four months old, and I've showed the original inkwork to some furs in a local meet-up. Don't know if they remembered it at all, haha, but I finally found a place for it. I worked on this on my laptop with an LCD screen, but somehow it got brighter on a CRT instead of the other way 'round. Merf.

Summary: Took about 10 hours. Pencil, Ink pen, ruler, compass, a Canon LiDE scanner, PhotoShop 7.0.1.

Macheviel is a veteran hackpointer in my Scape story universe, who became a cybershaman and a creature of pure information. The story of his ascension is in a novella I wrote called "Requiem For Nephilim", which I plan to release in the future. This form is actually the one he takes in his return to the material realm, though.

Anyway, time for a bad habit: Shin Megami Tensei biodata thing.

However, when demons of the mortal psyche begin to invade material life, he returns to fight alongside his non-digitised comrades.

(Nephilim Fang is an Expel version of that awesome skill, Death Flies. Chance to get Criticals like a physical attack.)
(Khamsa Balance spell casts Dekunda and Dekaja at once.)
(Soul Hack is an all-target Almighty attack; if hit, targets get damage and the equivalent of being cast Debilitate... FOUR times.)

Makes for a very nasty Boss fight, too.
