Dislikes/Hates: Asking for help at times if she can't move too well, her cane getting misplaced or stolen, her hard days where the pain is at it's worst and she cannot leave her apartment. Not being able to skateboard, jokers that tease her too much or pick on her because she's can't physically defend herself. Feeling vulnerable/ weak at times.

Backstory

From a young age Cindy had always been essentially "wild" she could never settle down or sit still for a minute so it was always a wrestling match for her Dad and grandparents to either get her dressed for anything in general as she would always be wanting to play and run around and that always ended up with her getting scratches or hurt in someway, so the only solution for her guardians was to take her swimming just to burn that excess energy. When Cindy was entering her teens she began to take up skateboarding after watching a little series on TV at her grandparents house after school, she asked then for a skateboard but Cindy's grandmother and grandfather were reluctant as they didn't want her to get seriously hurt.
One weekend though Cindy was taken out by her father for a small drive somewhere, she didn't know where he was taking her but she was surprised when they arrive at a Extreme sports centre. Her father had signed her up for a week of lessons as a try out for his daughter to possibly satisfy her curiosity as well as to see if Cindy take a liking to it or not, but of course she was over the moon, jumping onto her father and almost pushing him over in such a tight, excited hug.

After 3 days of introduction lessons to skateboarding Cindy was already enjoying herself and was learning pretty fast but she was finding it a little hard to make friends with most of the boys until she met an orange shark named Brandon who was always by himself during the lessons and never really spoke to anyone, guess he was a little shy. Cindy made it a goal to becomes friends with him and started pairing with him during the lessons, also helping him out with the skateboard and soon enough they became fast friends but also very firm close friends over their teen years.

At the age of 20 during a heavy rain shower, Cindy, Brandon and two other friends were driving back from a snow boarding centre in the mountains. The little group were pretty lively, singing out loud in the car as well as having some drinks, of course the one friend driving wasn't but he was still taking part in singing and laughing which was bad as he wasn't paying too much attention to the road and weather. The groups happy time was soon abruptly stopped by an on-coming truck that struck the car's rear right side then sending it spinning out and soon smashing it's other side into a large tree, Cindy and Brandon were both in the back and were both pinned and unconscious. Their two friend in the front managed to get out with the help of passers by and the driver of the truck. The next thing Cindy knew she was in a hospital room, fresh out of surgery and very confused but also in pain, one arm was broken in the crash but it was also her right leg which was now pinned and held together with steel rods and her hip was fractured. Cindy looked to her two friends that were by her bed, they were also patched up but not as seriously as she was, the rat moved her eyes around the room trying to find Brandon but he was not here, she looked back tot he two boys and asked "where is Brandon....?". They gave her worried faces and stayed quiet for a bit until one spoke up "he's still in surgery Cindy.. he's in a worse state than you were in the crash.. they-.. they had to amputate his arm to get him out of the car..". This news shocked her to the core and tears instantly flowed from her eyes, Cindy was fearful but also worried about best friend, she wanted to get up and see Brandon when he came out of surgery but she couldn't move from the bed.

It was not until 2 weeks later that Cindy was allowed to see the shark, she was sat in a wheel chair and pushed in by her father into Brandon's room where the shark was being comforted by his parents, he looked drained and very tired and she could tell that Brandon was having a hard time coming to terms with the loss of his arm, he was angry, frustrated and scared and seeing him this way made Cindy want to cry and it was uncontrollable when she did. She wheeled herself up next to Brandon's bed and hugged him as best she could, crying with him until they couldn't anymore.
During their stay in hospital Cindy was trying her best to stay positive as well as help Brandon but it was hard for both of them, Cindy had to go through some physio therapy to get the use of her leg back but Brandon's mental state was still pretty low, he would snap at Cindy when she tried to help him write with his other hand and eventually they slowly drifted apart. Cindy was not mad at her friend but she was sad that Brandon had withdrew himself so much from her and the people around him, but she didn't give up on him though, even though they never spoke she would still leave short texts of support and encouragement even if she gets no reply back.

Present Day
------------------------

Cindy isn't as active as she used to be before her accident but she is coping fine with her injury, she gets around pretty fine with her favourite cane/crutch and is pretty independent otherwise, she is still doing physio therapy at a gym for her leg and works at a popular radio station run by two brothers and runs their website, updating it with events and schedules as well as making sure the site runs properly and luckily for her the job doesn't require her to stand for too long.
Even though her surgery was perfect Cindy still suffers from chronic? pain in her hip and leg from time to time, the pain can get very intense and it results in her not being able to move because of it, when that happens her roommate Angelique does her best to comfort Cindy as well as get her painkillers, ice packs as well as searching up funny memes to cheer up her friend.

Cindy misses skateboarding terribly and misses that free feeling and thrill but it is also a goal for her to reach, it is a slow goal but she is determined to keep going and stays positive no matter how hard things get for her but she does still worry about her old friend Brandon and wonders how he's been doing but has been pretty scared to talk to him again, she hopes the next time they meet they could hopefully talk again.
