Returning to spotlight Brüs Bana aka The Hulk; one of the members of my Marvel Cross (X) Over of The Avengers, set in the worlds of the Star Wars universe. When I first designed Hulk, I mentioned his alter ego, but I decided it was time to show his design as well. Instead of doing a full version of an Evolution pic with multiple versions of the character, I decided to go with a minimal approach just to give an idea of what he looks like in his other form and the scale between them. Hulk: Brüs Bana

Homeworld: Mirial

Lightsaber type: Green (Tainted kyber Nightsaber)

First up we have the design of Jedi Historian that would eventually succumb to the transformation after being immersed in a spirit ichor explosion caused by the extraction process on the expedition to secretly procure the mists for the empire. I utilized a design for a Mirialan Jedi that I found online for his outfit. I altered the color to incorporate his signature purple. I also altered his head to resemble the MCU version of Bruce Banner. Also gave him glasses. I decided that an after effect of the power he now has altered the color of the traditional Mirialan tattoos to white, to show his contrast to other Mirialans and also resemble the tattoo from Ragnarok, which I incorporated into Hulk’s design. It is in this form where Brüs has his powerful connection to the force, granting him an expanded understanding of things, exponential increased mental acuity, and access to Jedi history and lore.

Next I have him without his glasses and wielding his weapon. I didn’t want to give him a traditional lightsaber, and my research turned up the concept of Nightsister crafted weapons that utilized corrupted kyber, which I thought fit perfectly. Only thing was there were no visual representations. I chose to utilize the design of the Void Sword from the anime, Guilty Crown. I decided to call it a Nightsaber due to the similarity to the lightsaber and its origins. I’ve noticed in the promotional material for the High Republic, they’ve shown some new lightsaber designs; one of which sports a black blade, not unlike the Darksaber. If they decide to call that particular type of weapon a nightsaber for whatever reason, I’ll revisit the name. I wanted to choose a weapon that would look like a regular sword for Hulk, but as the weapon itself doesn’t change size, would be like a Buster Sword for his alternate form.

The final image is Brüs after his transformation into The Hulk. His connection to the force becomes more primal. He loses his previous mental enhancements in favor of his massive physical strength, which is accompanied by powerful telekinetic abilities and reaction time. His rage can escalate to an uncontrollable degree if unchecked; which is when he employs the meditative practices taught to him by Jedi Knight, Behti Rhawes, to regain control. Her father is General Thaddeus Rhawes of the legendary Thunderbolt Squadron that fought for The Rebel Alliance.
