Description
The fate of the fallen souls rest upon the hands Death and his assistants...

Millions of years ago, there was a time when the earth was nearly barren, and mass extinction was upon the land, leaving the world in devastation
But as life suffered, there was a race of beings that rose, creatures that lived on the excess soul energy that came from the dead and called themselves "Life Fallers," because as they thrived in the barren world, they had to watch the other creatures of the world die, and even believed that their existence caused things to die
As they lived on, they found a being called Death, who came to take whenever a creature died, and took their soul away where it could rest for eternity
The Fallers began to follow Death, at first simply praising him for giving mercy and peace to the dead, but over time a friendship between Death and the Fallers sprung up, and the Fallers even began to assist Death in taking care of the dying world

Eventually, over a long period of time, the planet recovered, and life slowly returned to the world
But as life began to thrive once again, the Fallers began to suffer, fall ill from the lack of soul energy that leaked from the dying, and turning to dust when they died
Seeing that the race would soon die off, Death offered to let them stay in the dimension where he kept the souls of the dead, and in exchange, they could help him care for souls
They thankfully agreed, and Death took as many of the Life Fallers as he could to his home, and created a place where they could live and thrive once again and create their own little society

As time went on, they just simply helped Death take care of the dead as life grew, changed and evolved
But everything changed when the humans came along
Now the humans were a very unique species, they were smart and creative, quickly learning how to survive in the most efficient way, and shaping the land to suit their needs
The only problem with the humans was that the tended to follow beings that they referred to as Gods, each clan of humans following one or many of these entity-like beings and creating religions, which caused them to create fantasies and legends as too how the world worked, especially with how life and death worked
None of these religions were wrong when it came to the afterlife, but none of them were truly right, but the biggest problem was that humans were somewhat stubborn, and tended to refuse things that went against their beliefs, so when a human died and saw either Death or a Faller instead of the God they hoped to see. their soul refused to go with them to the afterlife dimension
So to resolve the problem, the Death and the Fallers created a crystal that would turn them invisible to all living beings so then they wouldn't have to hide and wait for other living beings to leave in order the retrieve a soul, gave them the ability to change their appearance to correlate to a person's religion or beliefs, whether it be an Angel, Anubis, Hades, a Shinigami, or any other deity form, allow them to phase through walls to get to where they needed to be, and even let them create a set of wings so they could fly off when they needed to and make travelling much easier

These days, the Fallers are just about everywhere, helping Death with the task of ensuring that the souls of the billions of living being were taken away to the afterlife dimension, and not fall into the hands of any magical being that was hungry for power
They also received the nickname "Angels of Death," since in some religious stories and legends, Death is referred to as an Angel, and since they looks similar to Death and they are all under Death's command, they were giving the name

so yeah, that's the story behind these guys
obviously Death can't do his job alone, there are a few billion people out there, way too many for one guy
