The ones int hat Picture are made out of cardboard then papermache'd that's the fast and cheap way. My second time I decided to spend alittle money and do them in Anti-Fatigue Foam Floor Mat ($25 a roll, one roll per arm) seal and spray paint it, it was quite costly. Both ways were pretty tiring, long and light. I find with big props its all trail in error.

Your cosplay is terrific and thank you very much for the advice. I wound up getting cardboard today actually and I actually didn't think to spray paint it, so I think I'll do that along with acrylic paint~ Uuu! A second time must have been so rough, I'm glad it came out the way you wanted though ^^

They are made out of cardboard tape, paper mache, some more take and hot glue. The fingers are just foam.

Lots of Cardboard boxes, lots of paper mache and acrylic paint. The fingers which you don't see are made just from foam. It was just a trail run and it held up pretty well . I think the Paper mache shell saved it. c:

The arms themselves never fell apart but the last minute headbands I use to hold the arms always needed some fixing by the end of the day. The heat and sun kept melting the hot glue so I over lapped the 'handles' with black duck tape and the sun started to destroy that to :/ so I spent most of my day just kinda standing around with them on the ground cause I wanted them to last as long as they could.

When I went to the DT on Saturday just to peak around since I wasn't wearing my badge, myself and a Deadmaster I was with decided to take a break by the windows where there was some cool and some douche ran by and took out one off the fingers. It's not like i left them out in the opening. I stood in front of them and moved the close to the wall to not be in anyways way or get them damaged. The douche didn't even say he was sorry :/ even if it was a easy fix.

I'm just glad the rain held out for AN. I think I'm going to do them in Installation foam for next year cause it'll be lighter and more durable for me.

Other than that, I was starting to worry no one was going to show up for the shoot ._. but then again I got there early. I kinda went from the Rad and right there. The less moving through the crowds the better and the overhang held the only shade. Maybe there'll be more Strength's next year ..Probably not..But I'm hopefully.

Yeah, the weather was pretty disappointing this year at AN
saturday got better towards the afternoon
Sunday was the best day.
unfortunately thats the day I decided to wear a heavy cosplay.
too many layers
