Description
This is a custom I was asked to make of a character called Apparitia who appeared in the 1986 Ghostbusters cartoon series which was created by Filmation.

I was asked to make her in the style of the vintage She-Ra ‘Princess of Power’ figures which were also released back in the 1980’s.
To Make her I used the head from a vintage Mermista figure which I rerooted some dark blue hair to the front. Her body was from a vintage Peekablue figure.
The entire figure was repainted. I also added some glitter details & made her an outfit in a similar style to the vintage She-Ra figures.

I thought Appericia had more greenish hair in the cartoon, or was this based off that recent promotional art? Nonetheless this is a fantastic work realizing her as a better/proper figure w. brushable hair. I think to add to her character in the cartoon she should have interchangeable monster parts when she made herself scary; perhaps a snake lower torso instead of the mermaid (as you mentioned using Mermista's base). I always thought she's have made a sexy naga form, which I don't think she ever did on the show, remember her becoming a giant octopus though. Great job

Wow, I'd forgotten about that.
I remember wondering how they managed Not to get sued over copyright infringement. Especially, when it was overlapping seasons w/ The REAL Ghostbuster cartoon. (and yes that was its name.)
She looks nice btw/
