this is a custom princess jasmine doll i made from disneys aladdin.i wanted the jasmine to be a lot more poseable so i basically used an official disney princess jasmine 12" dolls head & clothes & added them to a barbie body which had much better articulation than the jasmine doll.
i then painted her shoes gold, re-styled her hair to make it look more like the cartoon version of jasmine & added some subtle paint work to her face.

This is how all barbie dolls should be like from now and onwards!!! Seriously. I'm sick and tired of none moveable arms and legs that pop when they bend. You've made a major improvement that other companies should follow. Also, nice work!!! ^w^

yea jasmine would be one of my favourite disney characters & i really was not happy with any of the dolls they brought out. so i decided i would have to do a little bit of work on one of them to make a jasmine doll i was happy with

This is amazing! Seriously, I never understood why the Jasmine doll never looked like this one (my sister had a ton of Disney dolls, but I always sneaked in and grabbed the Aladdin dolls

no the head was pretty easy to remove without breaking the doll. you do have to be very careful when doing it though. a handy hint is to soften the dolls head with a hairdryer before removing it, but take care not to melt the dolls hair when doing this.

Isn't there a plastic piece inside of the doll's head that connects it to the neck that will break if you remove the head? I guess what I'm trying to ask is, if you were to "play" with your Jasmine doll, or move her around, would the head stay on, or fall off?
Oh, and I have to ask, what did you do for the hair? I'd like to try this sometime. Aladdin is my favorite Disney movie, and Jasmine is by far one of my favorite characters. I hope you don't mind me asking so much about your methods.

no probelm, i dont mind at all
yea there is a little piece of plastic inside the dolls which can break when the head is removed. but if you heat up the dolls head before removing it, this will soften the plastic which means there is less chance of you breaking that little piece of plastic connected to the neck inside her head. it is quite tricky but it can be done. my jasmines head moves normally because i did not breat that little piece of plastic.
as for her hair, i simply washed & styled it then used hairspray to keep the style in place.
