this is part of a collection of toons i plan on doing over the course of the next year or so.basically i want to do all the star trek characters that have really stood out in my mind right from the classic series through to the present day.
i know there are hundreds & hundreds of characters so that is why i am just sticking to the ones that have always stood out to me personally.
i know everyone has their favourite character or alien & i will not have them all in my collection. but if anyone would like to see their favourites done in my toon style i will be more than happy to do them as commissions.
so here is the next addition to my collection...

Be interesting if this is what Balok's species actually turn into as they get older.
Well, we know practically nothing of their life cycle anyway. Not like such a revelation would be flying in the face of anything.
In fact, in that game where Sulu and the Excelsior go to the Mirror Universe, the MU Balok is shown to look like this by the time of Generations.

I was never sure about the size of Balok's puppet but it makes sense it wouldn't be much bigger than him. You certainly capture that creepy look. Hey, it impressed the crew of the Enterprise. Very nice.

there was actyally a box set of figures released some time ago which included balok, his puppet & kirk from this episode. so i based the size of the puppet on the scale of the figures in that boxset
