this is part of a collection of commissions i have been asked to do.the girl who commissioned me to do this piece used to have a collection of rag dolls when she was a little girl. so she has basically asked me to draw the characters her favourite rag dolls were based on.
below i have listed all the pieces in this collection to date...

Of course! Rainbow Brite has always been one of my favorite cartoons!
I was so mad when I saw that feeln rip off...here's something to think about...use the original art and update the storyline canon writers!
And forget Jem..Universal was warned over and over again and ignored the fans about that one...

i have to admit i have not seen the new Rainbow Brite show. i was afraid it would not have been as good as the original.
as for that Jem movie, i definitely will not be going to see it. from what i hear it has no respect for the fans.

God she's cute. I just loved this show & toy series when I was a kid.
Several years ago I dressed as Rainbow Brite for my local Haunted Castle
and everyone remembers how very well I filled it out, lol.
Now that I have a baby girl, she's going to get my ol' Rainbow doll.

Very cute and mostly on model. The ponytail is too straight though. It should be more to the left as if it's more of a leaning lock of hair. Side ponies were the style in the 80s.
