Description
After the fight with Phantom at the Alliance Ball, Maverick returned to his station (which is near Elizabeth’s House) on Earth. He wanted to find Elizabeth, but something was wrong with him. He started to show signs of being uncontrollable, rebellious, like Phantom as his rings become morphed. His right wing lost its feathers and his right eye changed. He started attacking his station and the town with eclipse magic (darkest form of magic that exist to Deities and most forbidden).

This all happened because Maverick used his ability Siphon on Phantom during their fight taking some of her power away and absorbing it, corrupting his own power and making run wild and unstable because her power is more evil. Phantom finds out and goes to help Maverick wreak havoc and to have him join her, but not until Beth is dead. So they move to her school and start attacking it. Maverick attacked her and her friends and was going to shoot her friends. She swallowed her fear and jumped in the way of the blast getting wounded. He looked at her bleeding as her friends looked at him with fear and rage as she looked into his eyes with sorrow. Suddenly he snapped out of it as Phantom was walking up about to deal the final blow. Mave turned around and released a powerful blast that ripped open a portal to the Deity home world and shot her inside of it then closed it.

Beth neared Maverick as he fell to his knees with a tear in his eyes because of what he did to her and in pain from the corruption and fell backwards as she catches him in her arms. The corrupted energy slowly burns her but she still doesn’t let go of him. Maverick looked into her eyes and said, “I’m so sorry I…I didn’t mean too.” She held him tighter as she said “I’m okay, I now that I have you in my arms.” Maverick felt the corrupted energy pulsate and he knew he needed it out so he did it the only way he knew how. He released a shockwave that bounced Beth back a bit but healed them all and teleported. He went to the outskirts and expelled his corrupted energy in a huge explosion reverting back to normal.

After the explosion Beth traveled to him and saw he was seriously injured. With no second thought she picked him up and carried him back to her house nearby so he can rest. As he laid there in bed her friends looked and said, “Are you crazy, he practically blew up the school! Are you sure you want him here?” She didn’t say a word as she held his hand and nodded with a small smile on her face.
