Description
This is my submissions for the newest =exceeds "Holy" Release and at the same time my Advent Calender entry. Multi tasking
As for the piece itself:
I was always fascinated with russian icon paintings and saints and thought this release might be the perfect opportunity to create something along those lines - a modern version of the old classics.
As for the saint. I chose βGabrielβ which was portrayed sometimes as a woman when he was depicted as a messenger.
Stock I used for the angel is the beautiful *lockstock
and my own sources.

Love this piece! The use of the stock is wonderful and I just have to love the way you've textured the hair. I also think that the background really adds to the feeling of the piece while contrasting the smoothness of the stock.
