See ?!Another exploration of collages.
I'm still experimenting with different techniques and materials. Not sure yet where all of this will lead in the end
Anyway....
some technical info..... paper collage on canvas and acrylic paint, original size is 9"x12"

In response to your post request: Let me see if I can state this without suggesting I have any judgement. Fantasy "stuff" (eg. the Jester) just does not speak to me personally, BUT, I continue to Watch you because I love many of your concepts. I've picked this one as a favorite, but there are many others I could easily have said, OK, this one. Hope was one, Out of the Shadows, You Left Your Heart at the Door, Tulips, Elemental Keys series, and the little tiny gallery one-----these just make me sit up straight. I guess what I like is more reality things that are depicted in such a way to show them anew and to make us look at them differently, to actually see them, or their use points to something new. I hope that explains it, but mostly I want to say that conceptually I am often suddenly moved and inspired by some of your pieces and ideas, and i don't know any better compliment than that.

This collage is great. I love the use of materials. They really feel as if they were one peice. No where does it feel that something doesn't belong. The layers add so much depth and visual interest. I like how not all of "see" is visible, it gives it less emphasis. Words are very difficult to include in work sometimes, but you did it well. Bravo.

VERY interesting... I'm glad I full-viewed this one (even though it really is the prudent thing to do anyway...) The pictures in the glasses are very intriguing. Is it a memory? Is it a vision of the future? Makes me think.
I like the words, too... about finding "me." With the rocks around it, and the paper covered mostly, and then those images in the glasses, it DOES feel like a vision, like that person is who is meant to be found.

I love collages and I think that you did this one so nicely. Alot of people have problems with such open space, and you really utilized it. Beautiful work on this.

well, it is not of my taste, I admit I like more your manips, but you should keep working with collages. it is great technically, I really liked the scratches (it "feels" like a very old building), but... I just don't like these "surreal" stuff, like the image above. try to do something more creepy next time

Excellent work and well balanced on the page. To my eye the wavy paper edge looks more cut than torn -- but this is not so much a criticism as statement

I like the "dated" feel of the images, very retro in many ways
Also, the composition is very nice ... we see only what we want to see, and then we see it the way we want to see it
