From my recent trip to the San Antonio Zoo.

This animal is called an Okapi, and it's quite the chimaera. Sort of a cross between a deer, a zebra, and a horse. It seems to be eating, or looking for food from the zookeeper, but I couldn't tell from how far away I was.

I have a camera with a meager lens, but high resolution. I cropped this from a larger picture, paying careful attention to composition. The idea behind making it a vertical picture was "seeing the animal through the clearing." I wanted to go with the vertical trees to define the shot and give it depth, as well as getting that water in the lower corner. Hope you like it.
