XIV - Play Nice with Others
You can’t usually get too far in life without some kind of social skills. Whether you’re interacting with your loaf or a potential mate, it pays off to know how to behave with others.

Lovisa had always been shy. Her short tail was a surprise when she hatched, especially compared to her sisters long silky tail, but Raksha was certain this dark crimson pup would flourish, she'd make sure of it. Winter still held its grip on the lands and the snow was very persistent this time of year, but it didn't mean the raven dove couldn't take her daughter out, she'd seen quite early that the little dove was a herbivore and learning to forage during this time of year was important. It seemed that the pair weren't the only ones out in the snow, Raksha heard young ones playing not too far from them, a closer inspection revealed they were older than Lovisa, maybe a month or two, old enough to forage alone.. or they possibly escaped their mothers watchful eye for the time being; Still though, her maternal instincts were in full swing so she would be the temporary guardian to these pups until their mother returned.

The doves ears twitched, this was the perfect opportunity for Lovi to make some friends and she nudged the pup towards the fluffy pair; She was hesitant of course, but her mother was making her be social. A final nudge finally got the pup onto the shallow frozen pond, her feet struggling to find their grip and she bumped into the amber male, causing them both to tumble over. The azure dove looked over curiously, first noticing Raksha before turning her attention the bundle of fluff now tangled with her brother; Her curiosity grew as they finally found their feet, Atka frozen solid with the Snowa he'd found, staring straight at the short tailed pup sat before him. Lovisa was stuck fast, she found herself meeting the young rooks gaze, unable to look away and her heart beating fast.

Both Raksha and Akna wore twin soft smiles as they watched them, both feeling content with the scene before them, hopefully if time and Life were kind, they would meet again when they grew, who knows what may happen~
