100 Themes Challenge--015: Silence.Poor Erwin... hell, poor Survey Corps. They're always shit on after returning from exhausting missions where dozens of comrades were killed.
All of episode 22 made me want to die. I think I cried out a waterfall the entire episode. From having to dump the dead bodies to Petra's father running up to Levi after the corps returned... oh God ;A;
And damn, Erwin gets criticized for everything he does. The poor guy... I wanted to punch the people who were yelling at all of them.

Isn't it ironic (and quite disturbing), that they're giving Erwin crap about this, but a few years back, they sent a bunch of untrained townspeople (including Armin's grandfather) out on a "mission" outside the wall when it was actually a purge just for population control? Maybe they were ignorant enough to actually think it was a mission back then, but now everybody knows it was for population control and nobody is protesting the king about his orders or anything? The king killed hundreds of people in one day, but the Survey Corps is taking crap for not being able to save a few dozen soldiers apperently...
That's why I love this anime/manga. I love how they don't play around when it comes to politics. They show human nature in a way that most people refuse to see it, even if it's true. I mean, you have people protesting against inhumane actions but then they turn a blind eye in favor of inhumanity, acting like they don't know about it and believing unbelievable lies (like a huge group of civilians is going to march outside the wall and reclaim Trost somehow), when it ends up benefiting them. Love the picture, by the way
