We've strived and felt convictions
The suicidal friend still nose in book
Tender words mean so much
And yet so little...
So much has been lost in a year of passing...
And only some to be gained in that same time
Words revolve around us like a hollow grave
Where we wander aimlessly looking for those we carry dear
Why do we speak when only pain comes from voice?
Why do we live when only hurt comes from life?
Why do we strive when all our efforts lead us toward failure?
We've grown to hate
Love
Cherish
Despise
Appreciate
And curse what ever we have come to know
We all grow...
We all live...
We all die...
And not a damn thing can be said or done...
Because the world
And this life...
Are each fairly unfair
And because of this...we continue.
