I painted this -imaginary- portrait as an "holy/sacred" image like nun; Kannon; and Vergin Mary. "Kannon" is one of the Bodhisattva (Buddhist saint). In fact, Bodhisattva are men, but they has very womanlike appearances and duties in Buddhism and Buddhism arts.www.facebook.com/nikiandojapan

Yes, it looks like snow too. I tried to use oilpainting like Nihonga (Japanese-style painting). There are a lot of foggy images like this one in Nihonga.

Thank you for always!! I made texture like Nihon-ga (Japanese traditional painting). This oilpainting is composed by several image. Holy Mother, nun, and The Kannon in Buddhism.

Yes, I too always regard texture as one of the important point of making artworks. I don't work with digital art, so my texture is only in traditional ways...I should say "can not", hehe...
Anyway, this oilpainting is painted that looks like traditional Japanese painting "Nihon-ga". "Nihon" means Japan, "ga" means "picture/painting". In "Nihon-ga", actually medium is not oilpainting, but I tried.

This is so lovely! It reminds me of an image of Kannon in the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, USA. The calm and peaceful expression of the face is so beautiful.

I tryed to painting this work seem like Japanese traditional painting "Nihon-ga".Nihon-ga is painted by natural mineral painting or ink. Those are characteristic with shading of a color which expressing atmosphere and emotion.
